Diane Tiefenthaler

Diane Tiefenthaler, 68 of Breda, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning at her residence in Breda. A private family visitation will be held at the Sharp Funeral Home in Breda on Friday, June 12, 2020. The public is invited to attend the graveside service at noon on Friday at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Breda. Those choosing to attend are asked to abide by COVID 19 social distancing guidelines. Casket Bearers will be Koltan Smits, Andrew Toms, Blake Toms, Joseph Hoffmann, Kelsey Hoffmann, Evan Underberg, and Avery Underberg. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sharp Funeral Home in Breda and online condolences may be left for Diane's family at www.sharpfuneral.com. Those wishing to send a memorial are asked to please mail to Diane Tiefenthaler Family, c/o Sharp Funeral Home, Carroll, IA 51401 and will be left for New Hope Village in Carroll. Diane was born on February 10, 1952 in Carroll County, the daughter of Harold and Eleanor (DeWitt) Brauckman. She graduated from Glidden-Ralston High School with the class of 1970. On August 18, 1990, Diane was united in marriage to Leon Tiefenthaler in Auburn, Iowa. Diane and Leon made their home in Breda where she enjoyed her family, grandchildren and her many friends. Diane also loved shopping, crocheting, and being outside; especially tending to her garden. Diane is survived by her husband Leon Tiefenthaler of Breda; her son: Kenny (Nancy) Toms of Lawton, OK; her daughters: Charlotte (Lawrence) Hoffmann of Glidden and Amanda (Chad) Underberg of Breda; her grandchildren: Koltan Smits, Britney Quintero, Brandon Quintero, Andrew Toms, Joseph Hoffmann, Kelsey Hoffmann, Blake Toms, Evan Underberg, and Avery Underberg; her great-granddaughter, Kerigan Smits of Polk City; her siblings: Lila Scott of Iowa City, Gary (Barb) Brauckman of Glidden, Daryl (Janet) Brauckman of Atlantic, Rhonda (Joe) Zahler of St. Cloud, MN, Janell Brauckman of Des Moines, Sheila (Zack) Rancourt of Greensburg, PA, Michelle Sinclair of Bondurant, Doug (Karen) Brauckman of Carroll, Brenda Brauckman of Carroll and Karla Brauckman of Carroll; as well as Leon’s siblings and their spouses. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Eleanor Brauckman; and her brother, Jerry Brauckman.
