Randy Eischeid

Randy Eischeid, 62 of Carroll, died Friday afternoon, May 1, 2020 at his home in Carroll following a courageous battle with cancer. Private Family Funeral Services will be held at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll on Monday, May 4, 2020 with Peg Scheidt officiating. Casket Bearers will be: Adam Eischeid, Alex Eischeid, Dale Eischeid, Ronnie Roeder, Rick Roeder, and Terry Roeder. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll with Military Honors conducted by the Carroll American Legion. Randy was born in Carroll Iowa at St. Anthony Hospital to Fred and Waunita (Bierl) Eischeid on March 18, 1958. He attended school in Carroll at Kuemper High School. He enlisted in the Army in 1976 and was stationed in Korea, where he was a medic until 1978. He developed a passion for IT and went to Iowa Central Community College to earn his Associate's Degree and then onto Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa, to earn his Bachelor's Degree. Randy married Denise Nagl in 1981 and they welcomed three children: Danielle, Adam and Alex, but the marriage ended in 1997. Randy loved working in IT and moved around a lot for different IT jobs where he honed his skills and eventually ended up at St. Anthony Hospital as the Director of IT. He loved his job and dedicated 23 years to St. Anthony Hospital until he retired in November, 2019. Besides work, Randy loved to ride his Harley, race remote control cars, collect tractors, and spend time with his love, Joni Saunders and their dog, Gunner. Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Waunita (Bierl) Eischeid, and a aunt Marilyn Roeder. Randy is survived by his love of 20 years, Joni Saunders; his mother, Shirley(Dopheide) Eischeid; his brother: Dale (Mary Jane) Eischeid; Rick (Jane) Dopheide, Randy (Karen) Dopheide, Chris (Diane) Dopheide; his sisters: Shari Steffes, Lucy (Rick) Broich, Tammy (Brian) Hulsing, Sandy (Tim) Umbarger, and Sheryl Jensen; his children: Danielle (Tony) Moore, Adam (Krisie) Eischeid, and Alex (Karen) Eischeid; his grandchildren: Abby and Sydney Butler, Wyatt and Harrison Moore, Ava and Addison Eischeid, and William and Ronnie Eischeid; and several nieces and nephews.
